Farooq Abdullah could have been hanged if he became Pak PM: Mulayam

New Delhi, Aug 6:

could have become Prime Minister of Pakistan if he had gone towards that side, but carried the danger of being hanged too, Samajwadi Party leader

said today.

Having a dig in the Lok Sabha at the Union Minister, Yadav said, "Abdullah once told me that he could have become the Prime Minister if his party had sided with Pakistan after Independence."

But, Abdullah should realise that there has been history in Pakistan of hanging of Prime Minister and therefore Abdullah could have faced similar danger, Yadav said.

The SP chief's remark was in an obvious reference to the hanging of Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by Gen Zia Ul Haq over 30 years back.
