London, July 24: The royal couple, Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate showed off their newborn son to the world for the first time on Tuesday. The parents held the future king in their arms as they headed for home from the hospital where Kate gave birth to her first child on Monday. An overjoyed Kate said turning a mother was an emotional moment for her.

The royal successor raised a tiny hand above his blankets but remained quiet, even as well-wishers cheered and media men shouted the St Mary's Hospital here, said an AFP report.
