Heavy rains likely in different parts of India
Bangalore, July 10:Southwest monsoon was active over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, East Rajasthan, Marathawada, Telangana and Kerala.
Heavy rainfall and thundershowers were recorded in East Utter Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar island.

Rain and thundershowers are expected in the above areas in the next 24-72 hours. However, high alert has been issued in Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Heavy to very heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka, during the next 48 hours.
