Passengers' safety govt's priority: RPN Singh

The minister said the jawans were travelling in the train to provide security to the commuters in those high-risk zones.
Joshi said they were in touch with the state government and will take whatever steps were required. Railway officials refused to comment on reports that passengers or security personnel were abducted by Maoists and said there was no information to verify them.
The Union home ministry has sought a report on the attack from the Bihar DGP. Home Secertary R K Singh said they were gathering details on the attack.
Minister of State for Home Affairs RPN Singh said the government's priority was to ensure the safety of the train passengers. He said it was unfortunate that the Maoists were targeting innocent people, trains and political rallies. He said the Maoists were desperate but that would not affect the government's resolve to take them on.
