Power-loom unit wall collapse; One killed

Thane, May 2: A power-loom worker in Bhiwandi was

and four others injured when a wall of their unit collapsed, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place last evening when the tin roof sheet of the unit in Shreeji Compound, fell on the wall, leading to a crash, burying one worker, they said. The deceased was identified as Srinivas Shankar Aya Indoga, PSI Nag Tilak of Bhoiwada police station said.

The owner of the power-loom unit Jayantilal Shah has been arrested and charged under section 304(a) of the IPC for negligence leading to death, he said.
