MP minor rape victim passes away in Nagpur hospital

, April 29: The five-year-old who was

in MP, passed away at Care Hospital here on Monday. Th girl was allegedly raped by a 35-year-old man, Firoz Khan, at Ghansour town in Seoni district of MP on April 17. She was shifted to the Nagpur hospital on April 20.

Th condition of the girl had been deteriorating for last one week, hospital sources said. She had been kept on ventilator. Doctors said her brain had suffered a serious damage and oxygen supply to her brain had stopped.

The victim was dumped at a farm by the culprit and was found by her parents unconscious the next morning and she was taken to Netaji Subhash Chandra Medical College and Hospital in Jabalpur.

She was later brought to Nagpur by an air-ambulance and admitted to the hospital in Ramdaspeth area here.

The MP government officials vowed to arrest the culprit.
