Delhi Rape Shocker: 5-yr-old victim lured with Rs 10

New Delhi, April 22: The second accused, who has been arrested from Bihar on Sunday, April 21, revealed that the 5-year-old victim was lured with Rs 10 and was invited inside the room on the pretext of giving biscuit.

According to police sources, the second accused -- Pradeep confessed his crime revealing some ghastly information. Pradeep reportedly had claimed that he along with Manoj Kumar had raped the toddler repeatedly. After the heinous crime, Pradeep strangled the victim and left the crime scene thinking the girl dead.

Pradeep, who had taken shelter in his maternal uncle's house, is a native of Darbhanga district. He was arrested from Badhaiya area of the state's Lakhi Sarai district in Bihar. The first accused Kumar was arrested on Friday.

The five-year-old girl was abducted on April 15 and kept hostage without food and water in a room in which the attacker lived. The main accused, during police interrogation, revealed that one of his friends also had raped the toddler.

The victim, who is currently under treatment at AIIMS hospital in the national capital, is believed to have recovered from her injuries. DK Sharma, the hospital medical superintendent, was quoted as saying, "She slept well on Saturday night, and is alert, conscious and speaking to her parents. Her vital parameters are stable, and the colostomy tube is functioning well. At this stage, as such there is no danger to her life."
