Aarushi murder case: Nupur Talwar not yet freed from jail
With the court ruling, Mrs Talwar can not come out of Dasna jail in Gurgaon near Delhi soon. She was lodged in the jail on Apr 30. While pleading for Nupur's bail, her lawyer claimed that she will abide by all conditions and can even stay out of the national capital in order to avoid any clash with legal actions.
However, CBI counsel opposed her bail saying that she could manipulate several eye-witnesses if she gets bail. Many crucial eye-witnesses including Talwars' friends and servants are yet to be examined in the court.
Nupur and her husband Rajesh, dentist couple based in Gurgaon, are the main accused in the double murder case. Their daughter 14-year-old Aarushi was found dead in their house in Noida in 2008. A day later, their domestic help Hemraj's body also was found in the terrace of their house.
Initially the needles of suspicion were pointed at Rajesh Talwar. He was arrested and later granted bail.
Two different CBI teams were assigned the investigative task. During the investigation, CBI arrested some servants, however, they too got bail and later their names were not raised by the CBI as the Talwars' were.
The closure reports by the CBI was a shocker for all, especially for the Talwars as the report claimed that it was none other than Aarushi's parents who were the only suspects in the murder case. Soon they arrested Nupur as she did not turn for the court hearings despite simultaneous summons.
CBI sleuths had created, for some "specific purpose", an email ID in the name of slain domestic help Hemraj to interact with dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar during the probe of Aaarushi-Hemraj murder case, the agency had revealed recently.
CBI, which had earlier denied that the email id '[email protected]' was used to call Talwars for questioning, is now saying that the ID was created for some "specific purpose" which they refused to explain.
