Nupur Talwar faces setback as SC rejects review petition

New Delhi, Jun 7: Nupur Talwar, mother of

and accused in the double murder case of Aarushi-Hemraj faced yet another setback when the

quashed her review petition on Thursday. The court stated that they found no merit in the review case. The verdict was given out by a two-judge bench of the Supreme Court.

Nupur had sought that the case be dismissed against the parents, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar after they were charged with the murder of their daughter Aarushi and the domestic help Hemraj. The case has been termed the rarest of rare and has been unsolved since 2008.

The Talwars maintain that an outsider might be involved in the double murder. They also claimed that the magistrate misinterpreted the evidence on record and made them an accused in the case.
