Bihar averts major explosion, time bomb defused in Patna

Patna, Jun 7: A time bomb has been defused in Patna on Thursday, Jun 7 and thus the city escaped from experiencing a major explosion which could have destroyed a vast area.

The bomb was found in Danapur area. Sources informed that it was a very powerful bomb which was made with ammonium nitrate. The bomb squad, however, succeeded to defuse the bomb which was aimed to be exploded at 1:15 pm.

Police sources informed that Danapur road is a busy route and they also suspected that the time bomb was planted by some local miscreants to create panic.

The incident shook the state which has been facing a turmoil over the killing of Ranvir Sena supremo Bramheshwar Singh.

After facing tremendous pressure from opposition leaders, Bihar Chief Minister recently recommended a CBI investigation into the controversial murder case.

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, LJP President Ram Vilash Paswan and Bihar Congress had demanded a CBI inquiry to probe the killing.

The Ranvir Sena chief was shot dead by gunmen while he was taking a stroll near his house in Khopira village in Bhojpur district. His murder created a ruckus in the state and now the time bomb incident indeed created panic among the aam-aadmi (common man).
