Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda's chopper crashes; CM safe

's helicopter has crashed during the course of landing at the Ranchi airport. The CM is reported to be safe and has suffered minor injuries. The airport has been cordoned off following the crash. [UPDATE:

The CM has been rushed to the Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences as a precautionary measure. The exact reason for the crash is yet to be ascertained. But preliminary reports suggest that the chopper developed a technical snag minutes before landing.

The chopper was completely destroyed due to the impact of the crash and luckily the chopper did not catch fire that might have caused casualties. TV visuals show that the helicopter turned turtle.

UPDATE: The crash happened at 12:30 pm and reports suggest that the chopper crash landed from close to 30 feet. Munda's wife Meera was also on board the helicopter. The CM was on his way from Saraikela and was landing at the Birsa Munda Airport, when the chopper he was travelling crashed.
