Vyoma:B'lore students bag 7th position in aero contest in US

Bangalore, May 2: A group of

from RV College of Engineering finally proved their talent and zeal in the international arena. The team bagged seventh position in the international aero competition which was recently held in the US.

The engineering students participated in 2012 Aero-design challenge at Lockheed Martin, Georgia from Apr 27 to Apr 29. [Read: Vyoma: B'lore Engg students on Cloud 9 with special flight]

Despite facing tremendous financial obstacles on their mission of inventing the lightest aircraft that could carry the maximum payload, the students finally reminded the world - where there's a Will, there's a way.

Project Vyoma is an endeavour aimed at research and development of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). A UAV is a radio controlled (RC) aircraft with widespread application in aerial surveillance, civil monitoring and aerial spraying. A UAV can be of tremendous use in providing relief during a disaster.
