SC allows Italian ship Enrica Lexie to leave India

New Delhi, May 2:

(SC) allowed the

Enrica Lexie to leave Indian waters today. The apex court also allowed four marines and six crew members on board to leave Indian shores along with the vessel.

The Italian government and the vessel owner have assured SC that the marines and crew members will be available when required by Indian legal authorities.

SC directed the owner of the vessel to execute a bond of Rs 3 crore before Registrar General of Kerala High Court.

The decision taken by the apex court is in the light of the fact that its order wont affect investigations and prosecution in the case of killing of two Indian fishermen.
