Deadline for Vijay Mallya ends today to pay service tax dues

The I-T authorities had defrozen the accounts of the debt-ridden airlines Kingfisher in February after Mallya paid dues worth Rs 20 crore.
The employees had threatened to go on strike against the airline if the management failed to pay them their due salaries. However, after a meeting with Vijay Mallya, the Kingfisher staff on Apr 4 received part of their pending salaries after a long wait of four months.
