Karunanidhi
Chennai, Mar 18: DMK supremo recently grabbed headlines with one of his biggest threat to immolate himself who received a reverse criticism from the PMK founder Ramadoss who recalled the "unique" fast which was held by the DMK chief during the final stage of Sri Lankan atrocities on the Tamilians staying in that country.

Ramadoss, while criticising Karunanidhi on Sunday, Mar 18, said that Karunanidhi had held a three-hour fast during the final stage of Sri Lankan war. According to Ramadoss, the DMK leader had started his hunger strike after having breakfast and ended that just before lunch hour.

Accusing Karunanidhi, who was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, of not taking any prominent stand to help the Tamilians in Sri Lanka, Ramadoss on Sunday claimed that Karunanidhi has been exaggerating the "not so big issue " of Anna centenary library.

Recently Karunanidhi was quoted as saying, "If the government still goes ahead with its initiative of shifting the library functioning in the name of our mentor Anna, I will then commit self immolation against the Jayalalithaa government’s decision." He made this comment while speaking at the DMK’s by-election campaign meeting at Sankarankoil on Thursday.

Ramdoss' statement on Karunanidhi's fast surfaced when Channel 4 once against has started airing the video featuring on the war crimes of Sri Lankan officials on the Tamilians. The video also showed how 12-year-old son of LTTE chief Prabhakaran was killed by the Lankan army.
