MP: IPS officer crushed to death allegedly by mining mafia

Morena (MP), Mar 8: An IPS officer, Narendra Kumar from the 2009 batch was brutally crushed to death when a tractor laden with stones ran over him. The incident is alleged to be a planned attempt to eliminate the officer by the mining mafia. He was immediately rushed to hospital but breathed his last in a hospital in Gwalior.

Narendra Kumar was a sub-divisional police officer of Bamor in Morena district and had to let go off his life when he was trying to stop a tractor loaded with illegally-quarried stones. According to DIG (Chambal), D P Gupta, "Instead of stopping, the driver ran over him. Kumar was rushed to hospital but died on the way."

The deceased Narendra Kumar'S wife is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer posted in Madhya Pradesh. She is on maternity leave.
