Sadbhavna fast: Relief for Narendra Modi, PIL quashed

The court, slamming the petitioner Ratna Vora, claimed that the expenditure on functions was decision of the executive government and there was no need for the judiciary to interfere into the matter.
Meanwhile, Ms Vora, who is also state president of the Women's Cell of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), claimed that they will move the Supreme Court challenging the high court's order.
Here it can be recalled that the PIL accused Modi of fulfilling his personal agendas during his three-day Sadbhavana fast, held between Sep 17 and Sep 19, 2011. The petitioner also alleged that Modi's fast was neither part of any government programme nor it served any public cause.
