10 more infants dead in WB; Mamata to quit Health portfolio?

Kolkata, Feb 3: It seems that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who also holds the Health portfolio in the state, might be asked to submit her resignation paper or she might be forced to quit her Health portfolio.

Continuing the horrible trail, 10 more infants died in a hospital in the state. This time the incident happened in Bankura, a southern district in West Bengal. This time the infant deaths took place in Bankura Sammilani Medical College on Friday, Feb 3.

This time the state government showed malnutrition and under-weight as the reasons for the deaths. Mamata Banerjee had termed the continuous infant deaths in Bengal as "rumor".

However, the CM, despite being criticised over the shocking and horrible issue of infant deaths, has not yet taken any immediate steps to avoid such incidents.
