Union government is murderer of democracy: Ramdev

Hisar, Jan 27: Lashing out at the Centre, yoga guru Ramdev on Friday said that the country was still facing "repression." "Union Government is a murderer of democracy in the country. We are still facing the repression under a rule akin to British regime," Ramdev said addressing a gathering at the first death anniversary of social worker Mitrasen Arya in Khanda Kheri village near here.

"After 64 years, we are not yet independent. On one hand, huge sums are being offered to goons to kill people like us who talk of national interest, on the other hand, crores of rupees are being spent on the safety and security of terrorist Kasab," said the yoga guru.

Barring a few, all leaders in the country are corrupt, he alleged. "... the law does not touch the corrupt leaders because the law of the jungle is prevailing in the states and at the Centre," he alleged.
