UP: Tired of corruption, 1.5 lakh voters to boycott polls

Uttar Pradesh, Jan 27: 1.5 lakh voters in the Campierganj Assembly constituency have decided to boycott the Uttar Pradesh Polls that are scheduled to begin from Feb 8 - Mar 3.

A report on Rediff News revealed that the promises made by the BSP for the development of Uttar Pradesh have all gone with the wind.

Reports reveal that people's disappointment has reached to such an extent that they are evaluating what the government did to improve the condition of roads, water issues and electricity in the state.

Maywati's sacking of corrupt ministers from her party is also being looked down upon as her cleverly crafted strategy keeping in mind the upcoming elections.

With all political parties keeping a Hawk-Eye on the action in the state for forthcoming UP elections and the recent spate of rape, murder, corruption in the government, the political situation looks shaky for Mayawati's BSP.
