Boy killed over 'hidden treasure' in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Jan 27: A 9th standard student - Ganesh was brutally killed in the name of sacrifice. The incident took place at Nirmal Town near Shyamgarh Fort, Adilabad District in Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, a man, who has been identified as Raju, kidnapped Ganesh and sold him to a gang who might have killed the boy to unveil a hidden treasure.

Meanwhile, the family members and relatives of Ganesh showed protest and blocked road demanding strict action on the abductors and murderers. However, police is yet to track the dangerous group which allegedly "sacrificed" (read murdered) Ganesh.

Here it can be mentioned that the locals of that region indeed believe that a human sacrifice on Amavasya (new moon night) would reveal the secret of hidden treasure.
