Metro Services to be restricted on Republic day

New Delhi, Jan 24: Delhi Metro Service will be partially curtailed during the upcoming Republic day parade on Thursday, Jan 26 and the beating retreat ceremony on Jan 29.

According to Delhi Metro officials, there will be no service from 6 am to 12.30 pm at Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Race Course, Pragati Maiden, Barakhamba Road and Khan Market Stations.

The Metro services will be normal on all lines soon after the parade is over. Moreover, on Jan 29 Metro trains will not be available from HUDA city centre to Jahangirpuri and central secretariat to Badrapur from 3.00 pm to 6.30 am.

Furthermore, the Delhi metro parking lots will remain closed from 2 pm (Jan 25) to 2 pm (Jan 26) as far advised from Delhi Police for security concerns.
