Nation celebrates Netaji's 115th birth anniversary today

In view of his birth anniversary, the West Bengal government has declared a national holiday today.
Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee finished her celebrations on Saturday, Jan 21 leaving out the Forward Bloc leaders.
He was the first to hail Mahatma Gandhi as the "father of the nation" and is remembered as one of most prominent Indian leaders in the country's independence movement.
He left for his heavenly abode on on 18 August 1945 after he allegedly died in an airplane crash and sustained injuries.
However, no actual evidence has been found on how he died. Various committees have been set up by the Indian government to find out more on the mysterious death of Bose.
