Mumbai school replaces textbooks with i-pads

Mumbai, Jan 21: In the dash of an example of mankind being overtaken by technology, the above stands true to a universal school in Mumbai which has now replaced textbooks with i-pads.

The students are taught on i-pad applications and they have also been given Macbook airs. The trend of Apple gadets being introduced in the school curriculum has seen tremendous increase over time.

Apple on Thursday, Jan 19 launched a new application, iBooks2, that will bring interactive digital textbooks to the iPad.

Another application called the iBooks Author was also launched by Apple, a free application that lets users to create a book available on the Mac App Store, said a report on the CNN-IBN.

"iPad textbooks can be updated real fast unline textbooks," said Pinky Pujara, Head of Universal Schools.
