Man hurled shoe on Team Anna; one held

Dehradun, Jan 21: In a shocking incident, a shoe was hurled at the stage, when Team Anna kick-started their campaign for the Assembly elections in Dehradun on Saturday, Jan 21.

Key members of the team, Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi were present at the stage addressing a gathering, when the shoe was hurled but luckily it missed the target. Meanwhile, the assailant was detained by the police.

Team Anna commenced its campaign ahead of the Assembly Elections from today (Jan 21) in poll bound Uttarakhand to highlight the issues of land acquisition, Lokpal and Lokayukta - which have been sidelined by all the parties that are contesting elections in-front of the general masses.

Earlier, Prashant Bhushan, another key member of the team was allegedly assaulted in his court chamber by youths associated with political outfit. Kejriwal was also hit with a slipper in Lucknow, when he arrived at the sprawling Jhule Lal Park in the city.
