Tamil Nadu: VCK leader killed by a gang

Karaikal, Jan 18: A Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader on Wednesday was hacked to death by a gang near Karaikal, police said.

According to the police, Rangaiyyan was with his friend when the gang members chased and hacked him to death at the Ammal Chathiram area. Meanwhile, two of his friends have been seriously injured in the attack.

VCK cadres staged an agitation at two places, demanding the arrest of the gang members. They withdrew the agitation after assurance from senior police officials on the immediate arrest of the culprits.
