Dacoits around, don't carry Gold, Mobile phones in Bangalore

Bangalore, Jan 18: Beware Bangaloreans, before travelling in the city, wearing gold, silver ornaments or carrying mobile phones, laptops or any other valuables, please be conscious while walking on the roads or commuting in buses or in autos, dacoits are all around.

Everyday thousands of cases have been filed in the police stations in the city complaining about snatching mobile phones, money, laptops, ATM cards and gold and silver ornaments. The issue has become a serious headache for Bangalore police.

However, Bangalore police recently nabbed almost 84 people and seized valuables worth of Rs 2.15 crore from the detained people. All detained people have been accused of looting, chain snatching, dacoity, housebreak and theft cases, not only in Bangalore but in Hyderabad too.

City Police Commissioner, Jyothi Prakash Mirji, after nabbing the accused people, informed that they recovered the valuables including 2.513 kilograms of gold ornaments, 1.6 kilogram of silver, 21 four wheelers, 43 two wheelers, 26 laptops, 11 mobiles and 5 computers.
