Anna pays price for defaming Sonia, called worthless person

Lucknow, Jan 4: BK Hariprasad, Congress General Secretary, Madhya Pradesh lashed out at anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare calling him a 'worthless person'.

Criticising Anna Hazare, he said that a worthless person like Anna Hazare (Anna jaisa do kaudi ka aadmi) speaks against the senior leaders of country's oldest political party-Congress. He further said that if he were a youth, he would have barged into Ralegan Siddhi, Anna's native village and shown him what it means to defame Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President.

Talking about the 'Jail Bharo Andolan' that will begin from Jan 9, he said that every party were boasting about their plans in 2013, but none talked about 2012. [Read More: Major events, top news of 2011].

Hariprasad further said that Congress had given a lot to Madhya Pradesh and it was time that the public start respecting the party's work and bring it back to power.

Meanwhile, Anna's former aide slammed the Gandhian and blamed him of pressurising the central government on passing the Lokpal Bill. He further condemned Anna's supporters for showing black flags to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his visit to Amritsar.

He said that the whole episode proved that dishonouring lawmakers was an act of violence.
