Strip to support nude Egyptian blogger, urges woman in FB

Paris, Nov 22: The weapons of showing one's anger are changing day by day and the ways of expressing support are also evolving along with that protest. Almost 40 women stripped off in Israel and posted their semi-nude images online to deliver their support for an Egyptian blogger who had posted her nude pics online.

The Egyptian girl - 20-year-old Aliaa Elmahdy dared to walk on such a bold step after being humiliated of not having any freedom of expression in her nation. However, Elmahdy's action of going nude has sparked nation-wide agitation and experienced stern criticism.

The Israeli women came in support of Elmahdy posing naked for a 'copycat' shot holding a banner to cover their modesty. These rebel women gathered in support of Elmahdy when 28-year-old Or Templar set up a group in the famous social networking site, Facebook, urging women to strip off for the nude Egyptian blogger.

"Girls, let's give the world a good reason to see the unique beauty of Israeli women. Regardless of whether they are Jewish, Arab, straight or lesbian – because here, as of now, it doesn't matter. Let us show the doubters that our international discourse doesn't depend on governments," posted Templar in her Facebook account.
