Ruckus in Team Anna; Hazare starts maun vrat for health

Ralegan Siddhi, Oct 16: 74-year-old Gandhian crusader, Anna Hazare started his maun vrat (silent fast) from Sunday, Oct 16. Anna claimed that his maun vrat would improve his health.

According to sources, Anna will observe maun vrat only for media people and not for core Team Anna members. Citing the media reports, many started questioning - is Anna's decision to hold maun vrat a clear sign of ruckus in the team fighting against corruption?

Here it can be recalled that recently Anna's comments on his team members created controversy. Reports also emerged that differences in views created distance among the members. Crucial members of the team, however, have dismissed all "rumours" so far.

Recently, a foreign news paper quoted Anna as stating that he did not agree with the views of Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal on economic policies.

Following this statement, Anna's comment in media over Mr Bhushan's Kashmir-comment, widely showed the crack in the team. Anna reportedly hinted that Mr Bhushan, who was a crucial member in the fight for Lokpal Bill, could be removed from Team Anna.
