2G: The letter that made Pranab, Chidambaram rivals

New Delhi, Sept 22: A sensational letter by the Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee put a major bomb on the UPA as it accused the then finance minister P Chidambaram of "not doing enough" to prevent the 2G spectrum scam.

Pranab's letter clearly created a crack in the UPA, though the Congress refused to accept any differences among its leaders over the issue. Both Mukherjee and Chidambaram on Thursday, Sept 22 reportedly called the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh and have arranged for a meeting.
