Major fire at Mumbai textile factory; 4 dead, many injured

Mumbai, Sept 22: Four people were feared dead and many injured after a major fire broke at a textile factory in Mumbai on Sept 22. The incident occurred at Dombivilli area of the city.

Eight fire brigades rushed to the accident spot and started rescue operation. 18 people have been rescued so far. However, the main reason behind the accident has not been unearthed so far.

According to sources, fire broke at the cloth factory - Pooja Fabrics when the workers, who were in the night duty shift, were working at around 4:45 am.

The factory is run by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation at the industrial area of the city.
