Karnataka: Kumaraswamy, wife get bail but Yeddyurappa not

Both Kumaraswamy and his wife were apprehended in two corruption cases in the special Lokayukta court in Bangalore. Advocate Vinod Kumar accused Kumaraswamy of misusing his power in allocating permission to certain mining companies during his tenure in 2006-2007.
Kumaraswamy also has been charged of bulk allotment of sites to a housing society and, as a quid pro quo, it had granted a site to his wife.
However, the bail plea of another former chief minister, BS Yeddyurappa was being rejected by the Karnataka High Court. The Lokayukta court hearing on Yeddyurappa over illegal land denotification charge has been adjourned till 13.
