High Court stumps Yeddyurappa; bail plea rejected

He was expected to appear in front of the Lokayukta special court in the land denotification case. He has been named in five separate cases, with an FIR filed in his name in one of them.
He will now have to appear before the Lokayukta special court on Monday afternoon. He was to appear before the Lokayukta on Saturday, but was exempted from doing so after citing health issues. It was reported that he was suffering from diabetes, hypertension and high fever. He was admitted to the Sagar hospital on Saturday afternoon. [Read: Yeddyurappa going the Kalmadi-way?]
With Yeddyurappa facing a possible arrest, Karnataka Governor HR Bhardwaj had earlier given his go-ahead for Yeddyurappa's prosecution.
