Britain: Man's ears, nose, lips ripped off in an assault

London, Aug 25: In a horrific incident, a 31-year-old man in Britain had his nose, ears and lip bitten off after he was attacked outside a nightclub.

The victim, enjoying a night out with friends, was assaulted by 28-year-old Laurence Richard McGinn in a brutal and sick manner. The victim lost part of both of his ears, upper lip and part of his nose.

The attacker from Sherry Court, Aigburth, Liverpool, was charged with Section 18 wounding and remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on November 28.

Describing CCTV footage of the attack, PC Stuart Moore told Liverpool City Council's licensing committee: "It is horrific, sickening and it is almost barbaric, what takes place."

The victim is still recovering at hospital and is expected to undergo reconstructive surgery.
