Complete text of PM's letter to Anna Hazare on Lokpal Bill

New Delhi, Aug 24: With the Prime Minister's letter acting as a catalyst for Team Anna and government representatives landing on the negotiation table, the stand of both warring parties were clarified. After hectic parleys, the government conceded to most demands placed by Team Anna.

The PM's letter expressed concern over Anna Hazare's health and its fragile nature after nine days of continuous fast.

After the late night negotiations, Arvind Kejriwal has been quoted as saying, "They have sought time to respond to three demands: covering the lower bureaucracy, (appointment of) lokayuktas in states and penalising government servants who do not stick to deadlines in their respective citizen"s charters."
