Kanpur: Fake doctor arrested for molesting 18 yr old girl

Kanpur, Aug 19: Police arrested a fake doctor in Kanpur for allegedly molesting an 18-year-old girl who had gone to his clinic for a check-up.

According to police officials, CB Pandey was arrested on Thursday, Aug 18 for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl, daughter of a businessman in Dehli's Sujanpur area. The girl accompanied by her mother came to Pandey's clinic with a stomach ailment.

Police added that Pandey, who was originally a Homoeopathic pharmacist with Uttar Pradesh Roadways, took the girl inside the room and tried to molest her.

On knowing about the incident, the girl's family members and neighbours beat Pandey up before handing him over to the police.

The accused quack had been operating from a clinic in Krishna nagar area in Chakeri for many years. Girl's family filed a complaint with the police and Pandey is in custody.
