Police announces reward for info on absconding BSP leader

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Raghubir Lal said yesterday that an cash reward of Rs 5000 has been announced for providing information related to the absconding BSP leader Panna Lal Kashyap, who had been booked for allegedly duping youths by promising them jobs.
The police conducted a raid at his residence and recovered hooter and a red beacon from his private car, Lal said, adding that Kashyap had earlier enjoyed the status of cabinet minister.
Further efforts are on to nab the absconding leader, the SSP said.
An FIR has been registered against the BSP leader after some people lodged complaint in Pilahuwa and Vijay Nagar Police Stations here that he took Rs 2 lakh each from them on the pretext of providing jobs.
