Chidambaram yet to quit but BJP workers to be arrested soon

New Delhi, Aug 11: The Parliament on Wednesday, Aug 10 was stormed over police's lathicharge on the BJP workers who were protesting against UPA and Delhi government over CAG report on CWG scam. Now, the sources informed that BJP workers marching towards the Parliament on Thursday might be arrested.

Meanwhile, reports from TV channels claimed that the police were provoked to lathicharge on the BJP workers as they (BJP workers) hurled the first attack on the cops with stones.

The House was adjourned twice on Wednesday as the BJP demanded resignation from the Home Minister P Chidambaram over the police "atrocity" on its party workers.

BJP MPs both in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha claimed that the police lathicharged the BJP workers after receiving instruction from the home minister.

BJP leader Shanawaz Hussain said, "Delhi Police acted on Chidambaram's instruction. He must resign and there can be no compromise."
