DMK govt adopted ''wrong policies'' on power, water: AIADMK

Chennai, Aug 9: Charging the previous DMK regime with adopting "wrong approach," on the power and water fronts, the ruling AIADMK today (Aug 9) said it accorded high priority on addressing these issues.

"The wrong approach (of the previous regime) resulted not only in power cuts but also water problems. We are reviewing and addressing the situation," Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa informed the state assembly.

Just as high priority was being accorded on addressing power issue, similar priority was being given on the water front also, she said.

"This government has a duty to provide safe drinking water to all persons in Tamil Nadu. We will do that at any cost," she said while making an intervention.
