Govt employee held on charge of molesting handicapped woman

Kendrapara, Aug 1: An Orissa government employee was arrested on charge of attempting to outrage the modesty of a physically challenged woman at Phirikidandi village, about 50 Km from here, in Kendrapara district of Orissa, police said today (Aug 1).

Nimai Charan Beura, an employee of the state-run Housing Development Corporation, allegedly forced himself on the woman as she was alone at home four days back.

On being cornered by locals, the accused confessed having committed the crime and was handed over to the police.

He was remanded to jail custody after being arrested on Sunday.
