US: NRI journalist butchered to death by husband

Toronto, Jul 29: What can be more shocking when a wife was brutally killed by her husband with a meat cleaver. An NRI journalist, who was working with weekly newspaper Sach Di Awaaz, has been butchered to death at her workplace.

24-year-old Ravinder Kaur Bhangu was reportedly having problems in her married life and had moved to her relative's place. However, many people claimed that Mrs Bhangu's murder was a case of "honour killing."

A witness has been quoted in several media reports as saying, "The guy came to the newspaper office and suddenly pulled out a meat cleaver...then he stabbed her with the meat cleaver. She died on the spot."

While enlightening the reasons behind the brutal act by killer, Sunny Bhangu, the eyewitness claimed, "Maybe he (Mr Bhangu) was angry because she (the deceased) left him."
