Karnataka LPG row: Cong protests against minister Shobha

Bangalore, Jul 29: After checking the status of their LPG gas connection in the website of food, civil supplies and consumer affairs ministry - Ahara Karnataka - LPG consumers are in confusion as many of their connections have been suspended. According to latest media reports, Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje has played a crucial role in creating confusion among the LPG consumers and it was an alleged move to help the private gas companies.

Pramodh Madhwaraj said it was found that about 20,000 gas connections in Udupi district have been cancelled and it will affect nearly 80,000 people. The Central government is giving subsidy to the State government over cylinders used for residential connection.
