Hacker group Anonymous attacks NASA servers
The Anonymous, which is allegedly responsible for cyber attacks on various government and corporate websites, said in their twitter account that it would be "irresponsible" to publish most of the material it stole from NATO.
Media reported that Anonymous stole nearly one gigabyte of confidential data from NASA servers. Anonymous posted a PDF file on Thursday on its Twitter page showing what appeared to be a document headed "NATO Restricted."
The latest high profile attack was popped up a just two days after the notorious hacker group LulzSec attacked the website of the newspaper 'The Sun' owned by News International. The hacker group accessed to the site and published a fake story reporting that News International's chairman and chief executive Rupert Murdoch has been found dead.
Earlier in Jun 2011, Lulz Security, which is allegedly behind the cyber attack on CIA website, SonyPictures and US Senate website, and Anonymous announced that they were teaming up to steal confidential information from government and bank websites.
