Explosives in wrapped gifts: Terrorists to kill VIPs?

New Delhi, Jul 20: India recently witnessed another terror attack in Mumbai when the city had experienced serial bomb blasts on Jul 13. Citing the gruesome consequences, security in the entire country has been beefed up and the VIPs of each states have been warned about dire militant attacks.

Sources from intelligent bureau informed that terrorists may target the VIPs including some prominent politicians with explosives wrapped like gifts. All states have been alerted about the latest terror plan information, sources claimed.

All VIPs are being advised by the central government not to accept any gifts from strangers. All "gift wrapped" and parcels must be scrutinised through explosive detecting machine, an advisory from the centre suggested.

However, the death toll over Mumbai serial blasts reached 20 as per official reports on Jul 19. The number of injured was 128 at the triple blasts at Dadar, Opera House and Zaveri Bazaar. Others, who were housed in various other hospitals with minor injuries following the blasts, have been discharged.
