Reasons to ditch Facebook to marry Google Plus

Bangalore, Jul 18: Is it the beginning of the end of Facebook Era? This is the latest buzz in all social networking sites including Facebook! With the launch of Google+ (Google Plus), analysts opinionated that it was the real competitor to the Facebook, the world's largest social networking site. After it's launch in 2004, for the first time Facebook came across a serious competitor. Will it can sustain its users?

Though Google Plus still in field trial stage, it managed to grab more than 10 million users in less than two weeks. Moreover, technology writers and bloggers around the globe praised it for its new features. As of now, when compared to Facebook's users, Google Plus' user base is less than one percent, but the interesting fact is that most of the Google Plus users are in Facebook and they wanted to stay in the new platform.

As most of us are dating Facebook for more than three years, the simple question is that which one will we marry - the old friend Facebook or the new mate Google Plus. If it's Facebook, the reason is obvious - we're loyal to it and most of our friends are in Facebook - but, if it's Google Plus, what would be the reasons? Here are some of the reason why you choose Google+ to make it as your new partner for future:

*Circles - Manage your Friends list:
One of the most important feature in Google+ is its Circles that allows users to organize contacts into groups for sharing. Here, users can create separate Circles - College, Office, Family, Friends - and group their friends to different category. Posts, messages or photos shared in a particular Circle will be available to the members of this group. Although other users can view a list of people in a user's collection of circles, they cannot view the names of those circles. The privacy settings also allow users to hide the users in their circles as well as who have them in their circle.

*Hangouts - Group Video calling feature:
This brand new feature allows users to make group video calls with their friends. Google said that around 10 users can video chat at a time. Users can send messages during the Hangout, as well as watch YouTube videos as a group. Even though Facebook added Video Calling feature to its platform, it's limited to one-on-one chat. Hangouts makes Google+ a tough guy for Facebook!
