The video apparently from Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj town shows a bunch of men and women in an inebriated state high on alcohol and other drugs. The police had busted the party last fortnight. The images that have emerged paints the real picture of such rave parties and reportedly shows 21 nude youngsters dancing to music. The police also found branded liquor, contraceptives, aphrodisiacs and psychotropic substances there.
The circle officer Rajesh Kumar Srivastav has been quoted as saying to a popular English newspaper, “We found among other things, six freshly used and four unused condoms, 42 empty beer bottles, two dozen whisky bottles from Haryana, a laptop, and 25 mobile phones, from different rooms."
The police also claimed that of the 16 men caught in the party, 11 were locals with the rest coming from neighbouring towns. All the women hailed from Delhi. Most of them were apparently married and aged between 20 and 24 years.
Initial police investigations had revealed that the the party organisers rented a marriage hall and got a disc jockey for the music and also decorated the venue to make it look like a wedding was going on inside. After the police snoop-down, they found the youngsters in the inebriated state and were after arrested under charges of trafficking.
Police suspect that those who managed to escape being caught by police might be responsible for the leaked MMS. The police have sounded alarm at the trend that is soon spreading to smaller cities. Such rave parties were prevalent only in metros earlier.
Srivastav added, “The Kasganj bust is only a tip of the iceberg. We will examine all the phone call details in the recovered mobiles and data available in the laptop with the court"s permission to get more information."
