Metro
New Delhi,Jun 28: With the purpose to bring the new age transport to the doorsteps of Ghaziabad, the Delhi Metro has invited the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety for his mandatory inspection of the Anand Vihar-Vaishali corridor.

Night trials of trains on the 3-km link began on Wednesday, Jun 15. The officials said that trials during day time are expected to start shortly. The documents regarding the safety inspection were sent to CMRS RK Kardam and work on the corridor is almost completed as said by the officials.

Delhi's satellite city of Ghaziabad will be the third satellite city in the National Capital Region (NCR) to get connected with Metro after Noida and Gurgaon.

"I have received documents (regarding the inspection of the Line). They are under examination", Kardam said.

According to the Ghaziabad Development Authority officials, the line will be opened to public on July 9 but there is no confirmation in this regard from the Delhi Metro.
