UP:Another woman gangraped, burnt alive,Maya govt fail again

Ahead of the assembly elections 2012, the rape and murder cases could prove as a major setback for the BSP supremo. It seems that women in Uttar Pradesh are safe neither at home nor outside.
This was the third rape incident which hit the news in last 48 hours. On Saturday, Jun 18, a 18-year-old girl was raped at gunpoint while another girl was made blind after she resisted rape.
The 14-year-old girl in Ghur-purwa village of Kannauj was raped by two men. The culprits stabbed her both eyes for resisting the rape. The victim had lost complete vision of her left eye and the cornea in her right eye is severely damaged.
In another incident the last week, a 14-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by police men and found hanging inside the premises of a police station. The incident which happened in Lakhimpur village led to uprising against Mayawati's government.
