Pranab Mukherjee to visit Nepal on Saturday for 2-day visit

Kathmandu, June 15: Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee arrives in Kathmandu on Saturday for a two-day official visit. Mukherjee is visiting Nepal on the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari, according to sources close to Adhikari.

However, the details of the visit are yet to be worked out, an official said. Mukherjee is likely to call on Nepal Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Adhikari and other senior leaders of various political parties during the brief visit.

The peace process and latest political situation in Nepal, bilateral relations with India, trade, commerce and economic cooperation are likely to figure during Mukherjee''s bilateral talks with the Nepalese officials.
